The best and worst places for a first date
Cafe
A nice, central cafe (don’t pick your favorite one!) is ideal for getting to know each other for the first time during daylight hours and routines. If it’s over a latte macchiato, you can meet for a second, longer date. But if it doesn’t fit, anyone can quickly return to their daily lives without sitting down to a three-course lunch.
Park bench
Another good option for a first date is a park bench. The advantage of those who are a little early is that they are able to perceive the appearance of another person from a distance. It’s best to have a second donut with you to offer. Here, too, a short conversation with a polite cancellation is possible – or, if both want to spend more time together, a walk.
Ice cream
Almost everyone loves ice cream and it makes a good conversation starter. Provided the season is right, otherwise a trip to the ice cream parlor seems mandatory. If you walk around a bit with ice cream first, you can easily recognize each other as you move and then decide if you still want to go inside.
