local community

The island of Madagascar has multiple cultures, 18 dialects and different belief systems. One part that is often missed by travelers is seeing how some of the locals live their lives. Although they live third world lives and in some ways it can be sad to see how individuals live in these conditions, hospitality and culture is a simple must! The nature you will see, the food you will eat and the multitude of people will be one of the fondest memories of your trip. Authenticity is heart warming.

Sartanana National Park

Cap St. Mary

This is where the Mozambique Channel meets the Indian Ocean, sky and water merge and although it’s a spectacular sight it’s hard to tell exactly where. It is located on the southernmost tip of Madagascar. It is not much sought after and not often visited as the nearest city is an eight hour drive away. If you have patience, time and are looking for a totally rare experience then this is the place for you! You can spot humpback whales from the sand dunes, ancient remains can be found in the sand, and the locals spear-fishing is a sight of its own.

be a nosy

Nosy Be is home to Madagascar’s trademark beaches. However, the coves and inlets are alluring and simply gorgeous. It is a center of Madagascar’s beach parties that fall across the yellow sands.
